Chinon, Les Silènes, Charles Joguet 2021 (organic)

Cabernet Franc fills this wine with superb raspberry fruit, light tannins and a purity of fruit that can be hard to beat. It has great charm; from one of the most respected domaines in Chinon.

Further thoughts from the Tanners team...
This wine has poise and elegance, with that beautiful leafy, slightly minty note starting it off. There’s a fresh, stylish palate with the raspberry fruit backed by fine, lightly chalky tannins and a savoury finish. This excellent alternative to Pinot Noir is a good food wine and you don’t want anything too chunky and rich. The watchword here is finesse. Regional cheeses (and the Loire has so many) are a great match. Robert Boutflower, Private Sales Director
