Description
Chardonnay and a seasoning of Grechetto, the fruit was picked early in the morning to preserve freshness, and everything is about delicacy with a gravity-flow system ensuring grapes are very lightly handled before a gentle pressing. Skins are kept in contact for a few hours and only the Chardonnay is fermented in barriques, before blending with Grechetto in stainless steel vats. This offers a wonderfully pure Chablis-like nose of chalk and oyster shell, a touch of flint, notes of citrus (including orange and grapefruit), and a host of sweet flowers, green herbs, and complex touches of toast, almond, and cream. Taut and intense, fresh and very long; delicious now and full of potential. Drink 2026-2036+
